Abuja: BPP, Director-General of Gombe State Due Process Bureau

The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Dr. Adebowale A. Adedokun, hosted the Director-General of Gombe State Due Process Bureau, Engr. Mohammed Dauda Abubakar, at the BPP headquarters in Abuja.

The visit focused on collaboration and technological innovations in public procurement. Engr. Abubakar showcased Gombe State’s digital platform designed to enhance transparency and efficiency. The system includes a website, mobile app, and real-time monitoring dashboard for tracking contracts and projects.

He emphasized the role of technology in addressing procurement challenges and ensuring accountability. Gombe State’s successful reforms could serve as a national model, he noted.

Dr. Adebowale expressed interest in adopting these solutions at the federal level. He highlighted potential benefits in Community-Based Procurement and nationwide project monitoring.

The BPP Director-General proposed an advocacy visit to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the Gombe State House of Assembly to discuss the initiative’s impact.

Dr. Adebowale praised Gombe’s leadership in procurement reforms. He reaffirmed the BPP’s commitment to collaboration for improved governance and transparency in Nigeria’s public procurement system.
