NAPPS Lugbe Ward Holds Inaugural Inter-School Sports Fiesta

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Lugbe Ward, held its inaugural Inter-School Sports Fiesta on Saturday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. The event brought together students from various private schools within the ward to compete in a series of athletic and sporting activities.

Speaking at the event, the President of the FCT chapter of NAPPS, Ruth Agboola, emphasized the significance of sports in a child’s educational journey. She highlighted that sports help in the holistic development of students by fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

“Sports remain one of the most integral aspects of a child’s education. It instills values such as hard work, perseverance, and unity, which are essential for academic and personal growth,” Agboola stated.

The sports fiesta featured various track and field events, football matches, and other competitive games, with students showcasing their athletic abilities. The event also served as a platform for networking among private schools, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas on improving extracurricular activities in education.

Teachers, parents, and other stakeholders in the education sector were present to support and encourage the young athletes. Many attendees praised the initiative and called for its continuation in subsequent years to further enhance sports development among students.
