FG, Abuja Expo Launch First Virtual Interior & Furniture Exhibition
Abuja, Nigeria – In a groundbreaking move for Nigeria’s design and furnishing industry, the Federal Government, in collaboration with Abuja Expo, has launched the country’s first-ever Virtual Interior & Furniture Exhibition. This pioneering event aims to connect designers, manufacturers, and consumers in an interactive digital space, transforming the way interior and furniture businesses operate.
The exhibition, which will be a two day event, showcases a wide array of local and international furniture pieces, interior decor innovations, and smart home solutions. Participants can explore virtual showrooms, engage with exhibitors in real time, and even make purchases from the comfort of their homes.
Speaking at the virtual launch, Project Coordinator Faisal Jafar Rafindadi , emphasized the importance of digital transformation in boosting the country’s creative economy. “This initiative is a testament to Nigeria’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and supporting local businesses in a rapidly changing global market,” the official stated.
The event is organized by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, alongside the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology.
The Abuja Expo organizers highlighted that the virtual format allows greater accessibility, eliminating geographical barriers and providing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to showcase their products to a wider audience. The platform also includes live webinars, design masterclasses, and networking sessions, further enhancing industry collaboration and growth.
Industry experts have hailed the initiative as a game-changer, citing its potential to revolutionize Nigeria’s interior and furniture sector. By leveraging virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, customers can visualize furniture in their own spaces before making a purchase, improving customer satisfaction and reducing return rates.
The Virtual Interior & Furniture Exhibition will commence with stakeholders encouraged to take advantage of this innovative platform to explore the latest trends, discover business opportunities, and foster industry partnerships.
