A Lagos-based company, Upfront and Statistics, has repurposed a private jet valued at N150 million into an exclusive luxury event space, offering a premium venue for social and corporate gatherings.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Lagos, the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Eboh, stated that the transformed aircraft would cater to various high-end events, including wedding photoshoots, music video productions, business meetings, and private dinners.
“This is the first of its kind in Nigeria. We have created a space that accommodates a range of events, from romantic dinners to podcast recordings and executive meetings. It’s not just a luxury experience but also a viable business opportunity,” Eboh said.
He revealed that the concept was inspired by a similar initiative in Los Angeles and was introduced to the Nigerian market to meet the increasing demand for premium lifestyle experiences. The location was strategically selected for accessibility while maintaining exclusivity.
“It’s a freehold property, meaning no estate permissions are required. However, access is strictly by appointment—no walk-ins allowed. Booking rates start at N100,000 per hour, depending on the type of event,” Eboh explained.
The CEO acknowledged the challenges involved in executing the project, including construction, labor, and logistics, but noted that a team of experts and skilled local workers completed the transformation within a year.
To enhance the experience, the company is considering making the aircraft’s engine functional, further elevating its immersive appeal. The jet is also expected to serve as a prime location for filmmakers, content creators, and influencers seeking a premium backdrop for their productions.
“If you want to shoot content at an airport, it’s expensive and complicated. We have brought that experience to a more accessible setting for those looking to elevate their creative work,” Eboh noted.
Dennis Kange, an associate at Upfront and Statistics, added that the firm offers accommodation services for clients requiring extended bookings.
“Apart from the luxury of the jet, we provide accommodation for guests who come with their crew and wish to stay overnight,” Kange stated.
