FCTA To Partner European Union On Specific Economic Areas

Federal Capital Territory Administration has indicated interest in partnering with investors from the European countries in different economic areas.

This was disclosed by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja on Monday when he received the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi on a courtesy call.

Wike noted that there were opportunities for investment in the FCT, and across the country, but the interested investors needed to show seriousness in specific areas for government to properly guide and support them.

Assuring that the FCT Administration would promote and support such business interests, the Minister reiterated the need for intending investors to respect Nigerian laws.

Earlier in her remarks, Samuela Isopi, said that a team of investors from different European countries would soon be in Abuja to seek opportunities for investment.

Isopi disclosed that many members of the European Union and investors have been involved in several agricultural value chain development in the country.

She stated that the Union was working towards hosting a conference in Abuja, which will enhance relationships with Nigerian government.
