In Bwari Area Council of the FCT, residents are alarmed by a sharp rise in overnight robberies and are pressing security agencies to step up patrols and surveillance.
They identified Sabon-Geri, Quarters Extension, and Tundu Fulani as some of the worst-hit areas, and urged the police to increase patrols and surveillance, especially during late hours.
Mrs. Joyce Emmanuel, a resident of Sabon-Geri, described how a car was stolen from her neighbour’s compound while the household was asleep.
In Tundu Fulani, Mallam Jimoh Ibrahim recounted how armed robbers broke into his home and made away with electronics, including television sets.
The residents say the situation is creating fear and insecurity in the area and are appealing to the police to respond swiftly and restore public confidence.
