President Bola Tinubu has praised FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for his swift delivery of infrastructure in the nation’s capital, describing his performance as widely recognized across Nigeria.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima during the commissioning of Collector Road CN-8 (Asuquo Okon) and adjoining roads in Dakibiyu District, Tinubu said the project reflects the Renewed Hope Agenda and the government’s commitment to inclusive development.

He noted that the road will open up new areas of the FCT, improve connectivity, and enhance economic growth.

Wike said the project was inspired by the poor road condition observed during a visit to the Court of Appeal site. Awarded in September 2024 and flagged off in October, it was completed ahead of its 15-month deadline.

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, commended the President’s support and described Wike as a tireless leader. She thanked residents for their patience and FCTA staff for their professionalism.

FCDA Executive Secretary, Engr. Richard Dauda, said the road will link Dakibiyu to Utako, Jabi, and Wuye, with supporting infrastructure like drainage, water, and telecom ducts.
