Abuja Catholic Women Pledge Commitment to Members’ Welfare, Celebrate 2025 Day

In a heartfelt gathering at the Abuja Archdiocese, the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the welfare of women within the community. The celebration, marking the 2025 Day, was led by Princess (Dr) Joan Jummai Idonijie JP, the president of the CWO, who emphasized the importance of vocational training and support for widows and vulnerable individuals.

During the event, Rev. Fr. Victor Makinwa Ogunyemi, Archdiocesan Chaplain of the CWOAA, urged women to continue their vital roles as mothers and community leaders, highlighting their potential to drive societal change. He encouraged attendees to maintain a sense of purpose, including active participation in politics.

Nneoma (Mrs) Ebele Lilian Okoye also addressed the gathering, urging women to stay committed to their families and faith amid economic challenges. The event featured awards celebrating excellence in humanitarian service, recognizing those who inspire continued community engagement.

This celebration underscores the CWO’s dedication to enhancing the spiritual, social, and economic well-being of women in Abuja, fostering unity and grassroots efforts across its strategic zones.
