Nigerian airline Air Peace has made history with the successful launch of a nonstop flight from Abuja to St. Kitts & Nevis, further expanding Nigeria’s international aviation footprint.
The maiden 10-hour journey was completed using a Boeing 777 aircraft, making St. Kitts the airline’s third destination in the Caribbean, following previous launches to Jamaica and Antigua & Barbuda.
The flight marks a significant boost to Abuja’s global connectivity, positioning the Nigerian capital as a rising hub for intercontinental travel. It also reflects Air Peace’s growing ambition to bridge Africa and the Caribbean through direct air links.
Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, described the development as part of the airline’s vision to promote stronger ties between Africa and the Caribbean, as well as expand tourism and trade routes.
A warm welcome was extended to the Nigerian crew and passengers on arrival at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, with St. Kitts officials hailing the flight as a symbol of renewed Afro-Caribbean relations.
Air Peace has also announced plans to launch future long-haul routes to Houston and New York, underscoring its commitment to global expansion.
