President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of his administration’s unwavering commitment to restoring national security and driving economic recovery, urging the nation to remain hopeful despite ongoing challenges.
In a personally signed Easter message released on Friday from France, where he is currently on a working visit, President Tinubu described the season as one of hope, sacrifice, and renewal. He called on citizens to draw strength from the essence of Easter as the country moves forward on its path toward peace and prosperity.
“The forces of evil will not triumph over our country,” the President declared, while condemning recent violent attacks in Plateau and Benue States. He disclosed that security agencies have been directed to respond swiftly and decisively to threats nationwide, emphasizing his administration’s determination to protect lives and property.
On the economy, President Tinubu acknowledged the economic hardship confronting citizens but pointed to early signs of recovery. He highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at restoring investor confidence, strengthening key sectors, and laying the groundwork for a more inclusive and resilient economy.
“We understand the pain many are feeling, but we are working tirelessly to turn things around. A brighter future is taking shape,” Tinubu assured.
The President concluded his message by encouraging Nigerians to embrace unity, faith, and perseverance, expressing confidence that — just as Easter symbolizes triumph over despair — the country will rise above its present trials.
