
Federal High Court Abuja to Begin Easter Vacation from April 16
The Federal High Court, Abuja Division, will commence its two-week Easter break on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, and will resume normal court sittings on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The vacation schedule was officially announced by the Chief Judge, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho.
Despite the break, the Abuja Division, along with Lagos and Port Harcourt, will remain partially open throughout the holiday period to handle urgent matters.
The announcement was contained in a press statement issued by Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, Director of Information for the Court.
“The Federal High Court of Nigeria shall proceed on its Easter Vacation from Wednesday, April 16, to Monday, April 28, 2025. This is in line with Order 46, Rule 4 (C) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019 (as amended),” the statement read.
Court activities at the Abuja Division will fully resume on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
