FCT Police Raid Criminal Hideouts to Boost Safety
The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Ajao Adewale, has ordered raids on known criminal hideouts.
The directive was announced in Abuja on Tuesday by the FCT Police PRO, SP Josephine Adeh.
She said the move aims to flush out criminals and improve public safety.
The operation will be intelligence-led and include stop-and-search checks and targeted patrols. It will focus on crimes like robbery, kidnapping, and drug peddling.
Adeh said the police are taking proactive steps to prevent crime and build public trust.
She urged residents to obey the law, stay alert, and cooperate with officers during operations.
Adeh stressed the need for respectful interaction between the public and police. She said the operations are meant only to enhance safety.
She also advised parents to closely monitor their children to keep them away from crime and bad influence.
Community leaders, religious heads, and locals were asked to support police by reporting suspicious activity.
Adeh said safety is a shared responsibility. She assured the public that the command remains committed to protecting lives and property.
