The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, is presently is ecstatic following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent approval for the establishment of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Polytechnic in Gwarinpa, a popular area under AMAC in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a press statement on Tuesday, signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Kingsley Madaki, Maikalangu, effusively thanked the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for the role he played in making the dreams of FCT residents a reality.
He said the approval for the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic in Gwarinpa would not have seen the light of the day without the relentless effort of Wike, whom he referred to as Mr Projects and his mentor, as a result of the Minister’s untiring efforts to make the FCT the envy of other cities across the world.

The Chairman of AMAC said the establishment of a Federal Polytechnic in Gwarinpa would greatly add to the joy of the indigenous people of the FCT, whom he said had been enjoying dividends of democracy since the assumption of office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Maikalangu recalled that for the first time in history, an FCT native, Hon. Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo, who served as a two-term member representing AMAC/Bwari federal constituency was appointed to be one of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) members as Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Recall that in a later dated January 9, addressed to Wike, the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, implored the FCT Minister to suggest a location for the take off of the polytechnic, which he said would encourage technological, vocational and entrepreneurial training (TVET).
