Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed has officially assumed office as Director of the FCT Emergency Management Department,(FEMD).
This is following the redeployment of the erstwhile Ag. Director-General of FEMD, Mrs. Florence Wenegieme.
In a remark at the handover ceremony, Mohammed urged the staff to be diligent and transparent in carrying their duties.
The Director, who called for the cooperation of the staff to keep the FEMD flag flying, stated cooperation will take the organization to greater heights.
He commended Mrs. Wenegieme for her contributions to the development of FEMD; saying,
“don’t forget to tell us when we are going wrong or when we are doing the right thing”.
Earlier, Mrs. Wenegieme commended FEMD staff; attributing her successes to their support.
She appealed to the staff to extend the same cooperation to her successor.
Most of the management staff, who spoke at the event described Mrs. Wenegieme as a dedicated professional, committed to the development of FEMD.
Until his new appointment as the Director of FEMD, Engineer Abdulrahman Mohammed was the Director of Relief and Rehabilitation of FEMD.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State and a Master’s degree on Asset Development and Control from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
Mohammed is a registered member of various professional bodies including NschE, NSE, NSCE and Coren.
