The Nigeria Police Force has arrested an alleged land-grabber in Lagos identified as Mr Urakat Audullahi, who also uses the name – Saheed Mosadoluwa, aka Ibile for alleged criminal activities.
Sources told SaharaReporters on Monday that Ibile was arrested on Saturday in Lagos and flown to Abuja by a combined team of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Special Tactical Squad team.
According to one of the sources, his arrest followed his recent “terrorist” conduct and attacks on innocent residents of Lagos State.
“Ibile was arrested yesterday in Lagos and taken to Abuja by a combined team of IGP Special Tactical Squad over recent terrorism conduct and merciless attacks,” the source said.
Saheed Mosadoluwa is also the Chairman of Harmony Garden and Estate Development Limited and Ibile Auctioneers and Recovery Limited.
SaharaReporters reported on September 11, 2023, that some public interest lawyers under the aegis of Lawyers for Reform Group (LRG) had raised concerns again over the alleged criminal activities of Mosadoluwa, aka Ibile, who was described as a land-grabber in Lagos State.
LRG had called on the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to order a thorough investigation into the alleged use of police orderlies for land-grabbing and brutality, among others in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
The group claimed that Mosadoluwa allegedly engaged over 30 police orderlies to commit crimes in the state including attempted murder. They also made some video documentaries of the activities of the said Mosadoluwa.
The lawyers’ group in another statement, which was signed by its Executive Project Director Aare Oladotun Hassan, alleged that Mosadoluwa or Ibile was threatening the life of Chief Adetunji Yusuf Hassan Fasasi, Baale of Ilamija Village, Ibeju-Lekki.
The group stated that Ibile and his gang brutalised Adetunji in his house and stripped him naked in another attack on peaceful communities in Lagos by land-grabbers.
The lawyers called on President Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), National Security Adviser and Inspector General of Police, Egbetokun including the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command to jointly and immediately commence an investigation to prosecute anyone found culpable accordingly, including Mosadoluwa, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, Sade Gbadamosi, Treeco, Yakubu Eleto and others at large.
The statement read, “The Lawyers for Reform Group is aghast to receive several responses to our clarion call against the most dreaded Land Grabber Ibile who gruesomely attacked and shot severally at Chief Adetunji Yusuf Hassan Fasasi Baale of Ilamija Village, Ibeju-Lekki.
“We call on President Bola Ahmed and well-meaning Nigerians for rescue,” noting that “Adetunji’s Village was not only invaded and ransacked, but he was also attacked at his residence with truckloads of cultists, policemen and beaten up to stupor, and subsequently, dragged to Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun the Oloja of Epe’s Palace wherein they stripped him naked before the public, streamed live on several social media platforms.”
