Wike has officially initiated the construction of a new access road. It bypasses the Airport Second Runway, extending from Bill Clinton Drive to Tunga Madaki Settlement. The project includes the construction of a four-span bridge and is designed to significantly improve connectivity in the area.

The new road will serve as a major link connecting 10 communities directly to Zuba Road, providing residents with safer, faster, and more convenient access to key commercial and residential hubs. By easing traffic congestion and improving road safety, the project is expected to facilitate economic growth, attract investments, and enhance the overall standard of living for people in the surrounding areas.

Officials confirmed that the road and bridge construction is scheduled for completion within 12 months, with strict adherence to quality and safety standards. The project is part of the government’s broader infrastructure development agenda aimed at boosting transportation networks and supporting sustainable regional development.

Governor Wike emphasized that the road will not only enhance mobility but also create employment opportunities for local communities during the construction phase. He assured residents that every measure will be taken to ensure timely completion and long-lasting impact on the region’s infrastructure.

With the new access road, commuters and transport operators will enjoy a smoother journey, while local businesses are expected to benefit from increased accessibility and improved logistics. The project is poised to become a critical artery for movement and trade in the area, further solidifying the government’s commitment to regional development and community empowerment.
