Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa Estate, has received a fully equipped 20-seat WAEC-standard ICT laboratory, donated by OFON Essentials Global Foundation in partnership with Rev. Sam Oye.
FCT Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, hailed the project as a milestone, noting that the administration under Minister Nyesom Wike has also earmarked the school for full renovation and modern infrastructure to create a more conducive learning environment.
He stressed that public-private partnerships remain key to improving access to quality education and preparing students for the digital era.
In his remarks, Rev. Sam Oye said education and technology are critical to national growth, pledging to sustain more interventions that support students, especially the less privileged.
OFON Foundation President, Engr. Essien O. Emmanuel, explained that the ICT facility will enhance digital learning and better prepare students for computer-based WAEC and NECO exams.
The Director of the FCT Secondary Education Board, Dr. Sani Ladan, commended the donors and assured that the Board will continue working with stakeholders to strengthen education in the FCT.
