FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike has started the construction of access roads in the Karasana District, emphasising the project’s significance as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The project, covering Arterial Roads N11, N16, N40, and SIL 03, was officially launched on Friday, September 26, 2025. Wike noted that the road network will provide access to the ongoing 10,000-unit Renewed Hope Estate, first unveiled in February 2024, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to equip the area with essential infrastructure.
He emphasised that road infrastructure defines a city and attracts investors, adding that hospitals, schools, and housing projects can only function effectively when supported by good roads. Wike commended Lubrik Construction Company for mobilising ahead of schedule and assured residents that the roads would be completed before President Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.
The Acting Head of Service, Nancy Nathan, hailed the project as a strategic intervention under the Renewed Hope Agenda, while FCDA Acting Executive Secretary, Engr. Richard Dauda, revealed that the 10.5km project was approved in March 2025 and will be completed in 18 months. It will feature culverts, drains, and solar-powered streetlights.
Lubrik’s Project Manager, Anthony Khoury, pledged timely delivery in partnership with stakeholders and the host community.
