FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has applauded resident doctors in Abuja for suspending their strike, saying their decision puts the welfare of residents first. He noted that all their requests had already been approved before the strike was called off.
Wike gave the commendation while flagging off the Northern Parkway project linking Ring Road II to Ring Road III. He said the project will create thousands of jobs for youths, contractors, and small businesses, boosting economic activity across the capital.
The road, handled by Julius Berger, will feature dual carriageways, bridges, an interchange, drainage, streetlights, and telecom ducts, linking several parts of the city to the outer Northern expressway near Dei-Dei.
Wike assured residents that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda remains on track, stressing that ongoing infrastructure projects will transform Abuja into a world-class city.
