President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Yokohama, Japan, to participate in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), scheduled for August 20–22.

The summit, themed “Co-create Innovative Solutions with Africa,” will spotlight strategies to drive Africa’s economic growth, attract private investment, and promote technology-led development.

During his stay, Tinubu is expected to join plenary sessions, meet Japanese government officials, and hold talks with business leaders already operating in Nigeria.

Following the Japan engagement, the President will proceed to Brasília, Brazil, from August 24–25 at the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to discuss strengthening bilateral trade, political ties, and cultural exchange.
