
TRCN Certificate Becomes Essential for Teachers – COE Zuba
Dr. Sule Mundi, the Provost of the FCT College of Education in Zuba, has announced that obtaining a Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate is now a prerequisite for anyone wishing to teach in Nigeria.
During the induction ceremony for NCE and PGDE graduates, he emphasised that this certificate is not just a legal requirement but also opens doors to better career prospects, enhances salary negotiation capabilities, and provides opportunities for professional development.
Mr. Abimbola Okunola, the Acting Director of Certification and Licensing at TRCN, represented the Registrar at the event. He commended the college for its impressive 92.5% pass rate in the TRCN examination and encouraged the newly inducted teachers to maintain high professional standards. Furthermore, Mr. Mackay Eze, the TRCN FCT Coordinator, inspired the graduates to carry the
“torch of knowledge” with pride. Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Itakure, the college’s Acting Registrar, also extended her congratulations to the inductees
