Tragedy struck in Gwarimpa after residents discovered the body of Mrs. Kasham Thomas, an accountant with the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, inside her car with multiple stab wounds.
Her remains were found late Friday along 35 Road in Gwarimpa, prompting a swift response from police officers who evacuated the body to Kubwa General Hospital and notified her family.
Family sources revealed that Thomas had travelled to Karshi earlier in the day to pick up her two children for the resumption of school. She reportedly dropped them off in Lugbe around 7 p.m. but never returned home. Hours later, her body was found inside her vehicle.
Investigators recovered a bloodstained knife, believed to be the murder weapon, and an Apple Watch from the scene. Police in Gwarimpa confirmed the incident and said a full investigation is ongoing.
The killing adds to a string of violent cases recently recorded in the area. Just last week, a Bolt driver was found dead with a stab wound along the Gwarimpa-Kubwa expressway, and his car was stolen. In another case, a suspected labourer was discovered dead inside a vehicle within the National Assembly complex, though his identity remains unknown.
