The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the first female Head of the FCT Civil Service.
Adayilo, who made history as the pioneer female leader of the territory’s civil service, died in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025.
She was appointed FCT Head of Service by President Bola Tinubu on October 6, 2024, after serving as Permanent Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
Reacting to her death in Abuja, Wike described it as “sad and unfortunate” and praised her contributions to public service in the nation’s capital.
Details surrounding the circumstances of her death are yet to be released.
