The FCT College of Education, Zuba, has partnered with the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project to promote environmental sustainability on campus.
At the launch of a tree planting exercise on August 27, 2025, Provost Dr. Sule Mundi thanked ACReSAL for donating thousands of seedlings, noting the initiative will protect infrastructure from strong winds and create a safer, greener learning environment. He also urged a ban on motorists using the College premises and called on deans to support the general planting scheduled for August 29.
ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Mrs. Okpara Caroline, said the World Bank–assisted initiative aims to restore degraded land, promote sustainable resource management, and provide boreholes to sustain the new trees.
The symbolic planting was carried out by the Provost and other top officials of the College, marking a strong step toward climate resilience.
