Christian worshippers in the Dutse-Kubwa area of Abuja have accused FRSC officials of harassing them with Sunday morning roadblocks.
The officers reportedly stop vehicles for checks between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., causing delays and late arrivals to church. Despite repeated complaints, the practice continues.
During a visit to the area, a reporter observed routine checks in progress. When questioned, an FRSC officer dismissed concerns, saying, “Wake up by 6:00 a.m. if you don’t want to be stopped.”
Attempts to compare the situation to Jummat prayer delays were met with hostility. FRSC officials had earlier promised to look into the issue, but residents say nothing has changed.
Worshippers are calling for FRSC to respect religious activities and adjust their timing.
