FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAG International Links Ltd. for the development of City Walk Abuja, a mega urban hub modeled after Dubai’s City Walk.
Speaking at the ceremony on July 23, 2025, Wike confirmed the FCTA’s approval of the building plan and Certificate of Occupancy for the project, which will span 200 hectares along the airport expressway. He emphasized that construction must begin within one month, with a section completed by May 2026 to mark President Tinubu’s third year in office.
Wike warned against land speculation, stressing that any breach of agreement would lead to revocation. He praised MAG International’s commitment and reiterated the FCTA’s readiness to partner with serious investors.
MAG’s Executive Director, Dr. Kassim Gidado, expressed gratitude for the support and assured that the Abuja City Walk would rival Dubai’s and London’s iconic developments, triggering urban regeneration along the airport corridor.
