Real estate firm Barcity Properties Limited has introduced a fully solar-powered residential community, Genesis Gardens Estate, in the Karsana area of Abuja, as part of its drive to promote clean, reliable, and sustainable housing solutions.
Speaking during the unveiling, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dominic Onyeka, said the project was inspired by the country’s ongoing electricity challenges and the need to provide affordable, energy-efficient homes to Nigerian families.

The estate features various housing options, including three-bedroom terraces with boys’ quarters, four-bedroom semi-detached duplexes, and five-bedroom fully detached duplexes. Payment plans are available and range from two to 12 months, offering flexibility to prospective homeowners.
Onyeka also expressed confidence that construction would progress rapidly, with homes ready for occupation within a year.
