Turkish Airlines has marked its 10th anniversary of operating in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, highlighting a decade of successful flights and growing partnerships in the country’s aviation sector.

The airline began operations in Abuja in March 2015, and has since grown its presence significantly. From an initial five weekly flights between Istanbul and Abuja, Turkish Airlines now operates daily flights, offering passengers more flexibility and better global connectivity.

Over the years, the airline has also upgraded its fleet, moving from Boeing 737 aircraft to larger Airbus A330 jets, providing more comfort and capacity for travelers.

Speaking on the milestone, Turkish Airlines officials expressed appreciation to Nigerian authorities and passengers for their continued support. They emphasized the airline’s commitment to maintaining high service standards and further expanding its presence in the Nigerian market.

Turkish Airlines currently operates flights from three major Nigerian cities—Abuja, Lagos, and Kano—with plans to explore more routes, including Port Harcourt, in the near future.

The 10-year celebration reflects the airline’s strong ties with Nigeria and its role in enhancing air travel between West Africa and the rest of the world.
