Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has renamed the newly renovated Abuja International Conference Centre in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Now known as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, the iconic venue was officially commissioned today by the President, who praised the transformation and Wike’s efforts in rehabilitating the national facility.
During the event, President Tinubu urged the FCT Minister to stay committed to his duties despite criticism
Wike, in his address, said the decision to rename the centre was a tribute to President Tinubu’s leadership and swift intervention in approving the renovation, which had become necessary due to the building’s deteriorating state.
Aside from the renaming, Wike announced that all users both government and private will now be charged for access to the facility to ensure its maintenance and sustainability.
The newly refurbished centre now boasts upgraded infrastructure and modern amenities, positioning it as a premier location for national and international events.
