A traditional ruler in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has established a committee aimed at resolving recurring conflicts between farmers and herders in the region.
The decision was announced during a peace meeting held at the Giri council hall, where key stakeholders including village heads, community leaders, and security personnel gathered to address rising tensions.

The Aguma of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji, praised the swift response of the FCT Administration in addressing the issue and pledged continued support from traditional leaders in promoting harmony among residents.

The committee is expected to engage both farming and herding communities, provide conflict resolution strategies, and support the peaceful implementation of government grazing reserve plans.
