Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, has praised the infrastructural transformation in the Federal Capital Territory under the leadership of FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike.
During a project inspection tour across Gwagwalada, Kwali, and Bwari Area Councils, Nwuche expressed amazement at the rapid development achieved in less than two years, calling it “incredible” and “world-class.”
He commended both the Minister for his commitment and President Bola Tinubu for his support. Comparing today’s Abuja to when he served in 1999, Nwuche said more consistent progress could have made the city far more developed by now.
Minister Wike, in his remarks, urged residents to protect public assets and emphasized the importance of community involvement in safeguarding infrastructure. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rural development, especially in improving access to farmlands.
Wike also highlighted the 43km Pai-Gomani-Yangoji road project as a key step toward making Abuja a regional food basket, underscoring roads as the backbone of national development.
