The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has called on contractors handling major infrastructure projects in Abuja to uphold the highest standards and ensure quality delivery.
Wike gave the charge on Monday during an inspection tour of ongoing projects, as part of preparations to mark President Bola Tinubu’s second year in office.
Among the sites visited were the 16-kilometre Inner Northern Expressway linking Idu to Dei Dei, currently being executed by Salini, and the Jahi Interchange project by Gilmor, which will connect Wole Soyinka Way to the Murtala Mohammed Expressway.
While commending the contractors for their speed and quality of work so far, the minister emphasized that excellence remains non-negotiable.
“Only the best will be accepted,” Wike said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering infrastructure that meets global standards.
