The newly renovated Abuja International Conference Centre will be the first project President Bola Tinubu commissions to mark his second year in office, according to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Wike, during an inspection on Friday, commended the transformation of the previously neglected 1991-built facility into a world-class venue, crediting Tinubu’s leadership and directive for the major rehabilitation. He criticized the prolonged neglect of the national asset and praised Julius Berger, the construction firm, for maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
Wike also inspected the ongoing extension of Obafemi Awolowo Way from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road Three, also managed by Julius Berger. He expressed optimism that this project would also be ready for commissioning during the May 29 anniversary.
Both projects, Wike emphasized, are clear examples of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda and its focus on delivering impactful infrastructure.
