
Abuja – The House of Representatives has announced the recovery of ₦11,488,761,099 from oil and gas companies with outstanding debts to the Federal Government.
The move follows ongoing efforts by the legislature to ensure greater accountability and compliance in Nigeria’s extractive industry.
“This is a clear demonstration of our resolve to safeguard national revenue and uphold financial responsibility in the oil and gas sector,” a spokesperson said.
The House reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and fiscal discipline in all sectors of the economy.
