
UTME Commences at CBT Centres Across FCT and Other States
The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has officially commenced across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and other states in Nigeria.
Thousands of candidates trooped to various Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres early on the first day, eager to sit for the crucial exam that determines their eligibility for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
The examination, which will run for several days, is being conducted under strict supervision with improved security, biometric verification, and technical support to ensure transparency and fairness.
JAMB officials have reiterated their commitment to a hitch-free exercise, warning against exam malpractice and urging candidates to adhere strictly to the guidelines provided.
The 2025 UTME is a major milestone for secondary school leavers and other applicants seeking higher education, and the board has assured the public of timely release of results after the conclusion of the exams.
