The long-awaited Shehu Shagari Way in Abuja is nearing completion and will be inaugurated in May, according to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Wike made the announcement on Wednesday during an inspection tour of key infrastructure projects within the city. His visit included stops at the NICON Junction Interchange and Shehu Shagari Way — a major road project designed to connect with Wole Soyinka Way and ease traffic congestion in the area.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, commending the contractors for adhering to schedule and standards. He reiterated the FCT Administration’s commitment to timely completion of all ongoing projects, assuring residents of improved road infrastructure across the capital in the coming months.
