
Three employees of Amigu Plastic in the Idu Industrial Area of Abuja were on Wednesday arraigned before the Life Camp Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing cartons of Nico soap valued at ₦550,000.
The accused — Sani Saleh (30), Margaret Goji (38), and Victoria Timothy (32) — were charged with criminal conspiracy and theft by servant. According to police prosecutor Charity Nwachukwu, the theft was uncovered after the factory owner’s wife reviewed CCTV footage showing the trio removing the items without authorization on April 4.
Mr. Zheng Jilong reported the incident to Kado Police Station the following day. Following police investigations, the suspects reportedly confessed, and the stolen goods were recovered.
The offences contravene Sections 97 and 289 of the Penal Code. Chief Magistrate Musa Jobbo granted the defendants bail at ₦100,000 each, with one surety in like sum. The case was adjourned to May 29 for hearing.
