NAHCON Begins 2025 Hajj Vaccination for Nigerian Pilgrims in Abuja
Abuja, Nigeria — April 17, 2025
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has launched the 2025 Hajj vaccination exercise for Nigerian pilgrims in Abuja.
The vaccination is a key part of preparations for the pilgrimage, aimed at protecting pilgrims against infectious diseases and meeting health requirements set by Saudi Arabian authorities.
During the flag-off ceremony, NAHCON Chairman, Malam Jalal Arabi, stressed the importance of the exercise in safeguarding both pilgrims and public health.
“Vaccination is essential for a safe Hajj. We urge all pilgrims to complete this process as scheduled,” Arabi said.
The exercise also includes basic health checks, counseling, and the distribution of health information materials.
NAHCON reminded all intending pilgrims that vaccination is mandatory, and only those who are fully vaccinated will be cleared for the journey.
Preparations for the 2025 Hajj are in full swing, as thousands of Nigerians get ready to join Muslims from around the world for the spiritual exercise in Saudi Arabia.
