With palm fronds in hand, worshippers sang joyful hymns as they marched alongside Cardinal Onaiyekan through the streets of Abuja, celebrating Palm Sunday — the day that commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

The vibrant procession drew attention from residents as the faithful walked together in unity, reflecting the deep significance of the occasion.
The event marks the start of Holy Week, a sacred period in the Christian calendar leading up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
