Abuja, Nigeria – April 2025
As part of its commitment to alleviating hunger and supporting underserved communities, Fidelity Bank Plc has distributed food packs to residents in seven communities within the Mabushi district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The outreach program, conducted under the Fidelity Food Bank initiative, forms a key part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. The initiative focuses particularly on women and children, aiming to provide essential food relief and promote food security across Nigeria.
Speaking at the distribution event, Mr. Sufiyanu Garba, Executive Director for North at Fidelity Bank, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to social impact and its alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, which seeks to end hunger and improve nutrition.
“This is more than just food distribution — it is about community support, about being present where help is needed the most,” Mr. Garba stated.
Residents of the Mabushi communities expressed gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing the significance of such support in the face of rising living costs.
Fidelity Bank’s ongoing CSR initiatives continue to set an example of how financial institutions can play a vital role in national development and social welfare.
