Kwali, FCT – April 5, 2025:
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Saturday visited the site of the ongoing 15-kilometre road construction from the A2 Junction on Abuja-Lokoja Road to Pai in Kwali Area Council.
Flagged off on December 10, 2024, the project has already seen the completion of 10 kilometers, with the remaining section progressing steadily ahead of the June 2025 commissioning deadline.
During the inspection, Minister Wike commended the contractors for the pace and quality of work, reiterating the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development across the FCT, especially in underserved area councils like Kwali.
“This road will greatly improve connectivity for residents, open up economic opportunities, and reduce travel time between remote communities and the city center,” Wike said.
The project is part of the FCT Administration’s broader efforts to bridge rural-urban infrastructure gaps and promote inclusive development across all six area councils
