
The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has resumed preparations for the 2025 Hajj after Ramadan. An orientation exercise is set for Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Director Mallam Kadiri Edah said the Board has planned activities to ensure a smooth pilgrimage. Pilgrims will be guided on Hajj rites according to Islamic tradition. He urged those who have completed payments to attend for better preparation.
Islamic scholars and officials will lead the sessions at 8:00 AM daily at the Hajj Transit Camp, Basan-Jiwa, near Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja. The training will cover pilgrim grouping, transportation, and the NUSUK policy.
Officials from NCS, NIS, NDLEA, FAAN, and Flynas will explain travel procedures. Medical screening will be on April 12–13, while inoculation is set for April 19–20.
A final orientation with practical sessions will be on April 26–27 before departure to Saudi Arabia. Edah urged all pilgrims to attend and submit passports and forms for visa processing..
