A 32-year-old man, identified as Rayyanu, was found dead inside a mosque after the early morning Subhi prayer in Paso community, Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
Confirming the incident, a resident, Ibrahim Musa, said it occurred on Tuesday around 5:56 a.m. when Rayyanu arrived at the mosque for prayers.
According to Musa, the deceased came on a motorcycle and, after completing the prayer, decided to take a nap but passed away in his sleep.
“It was around 7:28 a.m. when mosque cleaners noticed him lying motionless. When they tried to wake him, he was unresponsive,” he said.
The cleaners immediately raised an alarm, attracting the attention of Muslim elders in the area. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.
