FCT Minister, Gov Wike, Presides Over First Security Council Meeting of 2025

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has presided over the first Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) Security Council meeting of the year 2025. The high-level meeting, held in Abuja, focused on reviewing security strategies and addressing emerging threats in the nation’s capital.
Key stakeholders, including top officials from the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security agencies, were present to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring the safety and stability of the FCT.
During the meeting, Governor Wike emphasized his administration’s commitment to strengthening security operations, improving intelligence gathering, and enhancing community engagement to tackle crime and insecurity within the territory.
He reassured residents of Abuja that proactive measures were being put in place to address issues such as banditry, kidnapping, and urban crime, stressing that the government would not relent in its efforts to make the FCT safer for all.
